Recordstore and more!

We probably don’t need to tell you many ceedee-stores fought and unfortunately lost the battle against music-streaming and downloading. Concerto is one of the few stores left in Amsterdam and one of the reasons is probably that they nowadays combine ( selling ) music with books, dvd’s and a café where bands perform live. They’ve got so much good stuff they have 3 or 4 buildings in a row, each with a specific genre. The place is very well-organized: signs indicating the categories, ‘audio-poles’ with staff-suggested music, tables with nicely displayed discounts, and many headphones at every counter for listening. Great place to spend an hour ( or two ).
Afterwards I usually go to Café Krom a few doors to the left to cherish my just-purchased treasures. ( See food and drinks section. )
